Recommended Windows Computer Configurations

Our current supplier for Windows computesr is Dell. UW-River Falls has a customized Premier Dell web site. If one of our standard Dell systems does not meet your needs, you can create a customized system quote on our Dell Premier site. There you will find systems that are supported by IT Services and work well in our environment. To get to the Dell web site, login below with your Falcon Account.

Standard Configurations:

Pricing information on our standard Dell configurations, plus some frequently requested options, is available here (on-campus only).

Custom Configuration:
Select a system at the Dell site. If you wish to configure the system or view details, click Customize. Click Update Price at any time to see what your currently-selected options would cost. When you are satisfied with the system, click Save as E-Quote. Fill out the form, selecting Tom Weiss from the drop-down list of authorized buyers. If you want IT Services to review your configuration and make recommendations, add helpdesk@uwrf.edu as an Additional E-Mail Recipient. In the Comments area, indicate that you want us to have a look.

After saving your e-quote, your department will need to create a Purchase Requisition and send this to Purchasing. Mention the e-quote number in your Purchase Requisition.

Also, please be aware that shipping will be added to the final cost of your Dell computer order. Desktops cost $50 and laptops cost $40 for shipping.

If you want the ability to save quotes and have a more personalized experience at Dell Premier, request a personal account on their site by emailing the IT Services HelpDesk. A login will be sent to you.
