Quick Overview: Navigating Office 2007

Below are some screen shots that give you an overview of the look and feel of the new MS Office 2007

The Office 2007 ribbon is a notable change from earlier versions. It is also customizable.

For comparison, here is the offiice 2003 toolbar

You can also use some of the quick launch buttons in the top left corner next to the office button

To open a new file pick

You can also customize which buttons show up here by clicking the drop down arrow

Minor tasks in Microsoft Office 2007

To perform “file save as”, click on the “office button”, then click on “save as.” Then choose the format you prefer.

To insert a picture from file click "insert"

The options you have available with insert will show up at the bottom.
Click on the "picture" option.
A dialog box will appear. Browse to your picture to insert it in your document.
