Each of the Technology Enhanced Classrooms is equipped with wireless
mice for both the Macintosh and PC computers. These mice are designed to assist
with presentations, notably including the ability to control Microsoft PowerPoint
presentations.
South Hall 223 is equipped with wireless keyboards and mice that are designed for more general use rather than the presentation-oriented remote mice used other rooms. In the event that these devices do not work, conventional wired keyboards and mice are connected to the computers in the cabinet.
PC
The Windows PC wireless keyboard and mouse are always on but may go into "sleep" mode after not being used for a while. It may take a few moments for them to become responsive once use is resumed. The best way to wake up the keyboard is to press the spacebar and the best way to wake up the mouse is to either click a button or move the scroll wheel.
Macintosh
The Apple Macintosh wireless keyboard and mouse have power switches that must be switched on before they can be used. Switch the devices on, then type on the keyboard and click the mouse button so each device establishes a connection with the computer. Illustrations below show where to locate the switches.
