Projector Installation. Due to its design and use as a
large lecture hall, the projector in Ag Sci 200 is mounted in the projection
booth instead of hung from the ceiling. Additionally a “long throw”
lens is installed to project at this extended distance.
Installation of the long throw lens also disabled the focus and zoom controls
on the projector. However, the lens is set at a fixed focal length and its
focus remains constant, so focusing and zooming with the projector’s
remote is not necessary. However, in the event either were to go out of adjustment,
the permanent focus could be adjusted manually by ITS technicians.
Remote Sensor for Projector. Use the Extron 7 switch in the cabine to turn the projector on/off. Please be patient as it takes 10-15second for the lamp to warm up so you can see
If the Extron fails to turn the projector on use the projector remote control. Because the distance
to the projector from the front of the room is too long for reliable remote
control operation, and, because we needed to suppress infra-red interference
from fluorescent lights, the projector remote may not work when aimed
directly at the projector. In place of this a remote IR sensor is mounted
on the front wall of the room under the chalkboard. Aim the projector remote
at this.
Microphones This room is equipped with 3 microphones: 1 wired microphone and 2 wireless; 1 is a lapel microphone. The volume control is located inside the cabinet with the rest of the TEC equipment.
When using the lapel microphone please be sure to turn it off when you are finished.
