A mobile TEC consists of a computer
(Mac or PC) and a projector on a cart. The computer
is equipped with DVD-drive, sound card and speakers.

Here is a list of the software loaded on the Mobile TEC Carts.

The following are places you can use mobile TECs.
You can request that additional classrooms be connected by sending a request to IT Services.
The Mobile TECs have been deployed by placing them in academic buildings and enlisting the support of the departments located there to house and schedule units. Departments within each building have volunteered to house the mobile TECs and manage reservations of the units. The following are the locations, coordinating departments and contacts for reservation of the units currently available.

1. Plug in the extension cord to 120v outlet in the room
2. Turn on the master power switch for the entire cart. It is located on surge protector which is underneath the cart.
3. Turn on the projector by pressing the the "on" button on the top or side of the projector
4. Plug in the network cable to the "active" jack in the room.
5. Power up the computer Top ![]()
Computer:
1. Shutdown the computer by double-clicking the logout icon on the desktop ![]()
2a. For the PC press "CTRL-ALT-Del" and select "shutdown" from the menu
2b For the Mac choose "shutdown" from the login screen
Projector:
1. Press the "Standby" button. (some projectors you have to press this button twice, follow the onscreen directions)
2. Wait for the projector to cool before disconnecting the power. This will allow an adequate cool down period and help extend the life of the bulbs, which are very expensive.
3. When the fan stops or slows down to a very low pitch then continue.
Main Power:
1. Turn off the main power switch on the cart,
2. Disconnect the network cable and the power cables and store them back on the cart.
3. Return the cart to your building's storage location.
