TV Student Programming Policy

Effective September 1, 2000

As per the University of Wisconsin System Legal Department's
Anne Bilder and Pat Brady   (608) 262-6497

A student can produce and air a program at UWRF only if all of the following guidelines are met:

  1. The show must be produced by a student currently registered at UWRF
  2. The producer must have a designated Faculty Advisor who is a current staff member on campus
  3. Over 50% of the crew for the show must be current UWRF students.
All student programming that follows these guidelines has the right to air on cable channel 19 if it meets the FCC guidelines of no swearing/profanity, no nudity/pornography and no hate speech directed at specific groups or individuals. All programs must inlcude the disclaimer as follows:

"This program does not necessarily represent the views of the UW System, University of Wisconsin River Falls Adminstration, or the management of Television Services.  Program content is determined by the students of UWRF."

Minor adjustments may be made to the wording, and may include other organizations(like sponsors, or student orgs) that are not responsible for conent.  You may also include a mailing address for viewer comments.

The TV Services Program Manager reserves the right to decide when and how often programs will air, and will make all attempts to allow for equal air time for all programs.
