Who May Check Out Equipment
Audio and video production equipment is available to faculty, staff and students currently enrolled at UWRF. Students who have not completed or are not enrolled in a production class must take a brief equipment usage seminar before they will be allowed to check out equipment.

Equipment Reservations
Equipment is checked out for up to 24 hours. Exceptions must be approved by the Coordinator of TV Services. Reservations made in person or by telephone are highly recommended. Reservations will hold equipment for one hour after the pick up time indicated on the reservation form. If another student needs the equipment after one hour has elapsed, the previous reservation is canceled. The student checking out the equipment will be held financially responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment.  S/he is also responsible for any fines that may accrue. A student ID must be presented when picking up the equipment. Students are encouraged to return equipment as soon as possible, as others may also need it. Late return of equipment will result in a $10 fine for the first two days after it is due. If overdue equipment is not returned within 48 hours, the fine increases to $20 per day.

In accordance with equipment check out procedures, all students must thoroughly inspect all equipment before leaving the check out area. Upon leaving the area, any problems discovered with the equipment or any missing accessories become the responsibility of the student.

Lost or Damaged Equipment
Use of audio or video equipment is a privilege, not a right. Accordingly, it can and will be suspended if circumstances warrant such action. It is the responsibility of the student to report any problem, no matter how minor, involving loss or damage of equipment to the check out supervisor as soon as possible so that equipment can be promptly repaired and placed back into service. If you experience difficulties with equipment in the field, you are expected to demonstrate the problem upon return of the equipment.

Fines
Equipment privileges, including further reservations, will be suspended until all fines are paid. Fines may be paid by cash, check or money order. Excessive fines may result in loss of equipment privileges. An additional $10 charge will be added to any fines remaining unpaid by Finals Week. Unpaid fines may result in university Action.
