The software which UWRF will be using to provide the FalconFile file services will require us to discontinue support for server-based scripting in personal web pages. These changes will not affect department or student organization websites. Some examples of technologies that will not work include: Perl cgi scripts, PHP web code, server-side web directives such as "includes".
How can I tell if I'm affected by this change?
If you're using Perl scripts, you will likely have files with names ending in '.cgi' located in your PersonalPages folder somewhere.
If you're using PHP code, the affected files will contain code within <? and ?> brackets and have filenames ending in one of the following extensions: .php, .php3
Files using server-side directives are less straight-forward to find but the following two directives are the most common:
